Two enthusiastic and nurturing Apprentice  Teaching Assistants to start

September 1st 2025.

 

The successful applicants will be required to work 34 hours each week.   The salary for this position in school will be for the first 12 months the National Apprenticeship Wage, based on 34 hours of work.  Then, after 12 months, the salary will increase to align to the National Living Wage. 

                         

Landywood Primary School is a “Good School” (Ofsted 2022) seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant.

The successful applicant will start each day at 8am supporting our Breakfast Club.  Then they will  support the children in class with their English and Maths lessons.  During each lunchtime, you  would be required to support our lunchtime provision, working one hour supporting our lunchtime team.  Each afternoon, you will deliver pre-planned sessions to support specific children to help ‘close their learning gaps’. 

As part of the apprenticeship course, you will attend college for half a day a week and then complete college related assignments during your half a day per week study leave.

       standards across the school but also the ability to work independently too both in school and through the apprenticeship course.

·         Will be a positive role model in school.

·         Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

·         Is committed to fostering excellent relationships between parents, carers and the community to promote community cohesion.

·         Is confident in using iPads to support learning.

·      Enjoys a challenge and has a good sense of humour.
