Life Ed at Landywood
At Landywood, our Life Ed curriculum enables children to express their thoughts and feelings to each other. The constant discussion of a variety of topics and life challenges allows pupils to understand the importance of listening to the opinions of others, as well as voicing their own.
Through our carefully crafted curriculum, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. These skills and attributes help our pupils to stay healthy, safe and prepare them for life and work.
Topics covered in Life Ede explore how we are all different, the different values that families may have, and the importance of family, school and our community.
Life Ed outside the classroom
Children are continually supported with their pastoral needs during their time at school. Life Ed support does not end in the classroom. Throughout Landywood, children have a number of supportive workshops regarding their thoughts and feelings, as well as life changing personal events. In addition to this,as a school, we aim to not only support pupils, but to support their families and those around them.
